Te Korowai o Wainuiārua Trust:

Te Korowai o Wainuiārua Trust serves as the Post-Settlement Governance Entity (PSGE) for Te Korowai o Wainuiārua representing Uenuku, Tamakana, and Tamahaki..

Established following the successful settlement of our historical Treaty claims, the Trust plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the assets and responsibilities that come with Te Tihi o Te Rae – Treaty Settlement.

In 2023, Trustees of Uenuku Charitable Trust (UCT) were elected to serve as the Initial Trustees of the PSGE.
Subsequently, in July 2023, they signed Te Tihi o te Rae (Deed of Settlement) on behalf of te uri. These Initial Trustees
were tasked with overseeing the PSGE establishment phase until the first elections in December of 2024.
